Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum (pro rata 2 or 3 days per week £18,000 - £21,000)
NEST Clinical Services is seeking a Psychotherapist with a passion for complex trauma work to join our team, providing direct therapeutic support to children and young people living in residential care across the North West.
About NEST
We are an embedded clinical psychology service working within children's residential homes. Our approach is trauma-informed and attachment-led, and we look for clinicians who are not only skilled but genuinely drawn to this kind of work.
The Role
This is a salaried, part-time position working 2 or 3 days per week, covering homes across a central North West patch. You will hold a caseload of young people presenting with complex trauma, relational difficulties, and high levels of emotional and behavioural dysregulation. We are looking for people who understand how trauma presents in a residential care context.
Alongside direct work, you will provide consultation to care staff, supporting them to understand and respond to the young people they live and work with.
This role requires regular travel between sites across North West England. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

What We're Looking For
- Psychotherapist (BACP, UKCP, HCPC etc)
- Demonstrable experience working with complex trauma, ideally with children, young people, or looked-after populations
- Confidence working relationally with non-clinical staff teams
- The ability to hold complexity and remain grounded under pressure
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
- Enhanced DBS
