Due to ongoing customer demand, we are seeking a reliable, hands-on Level 3 Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. If you enjoy solving complex diagnostic puzzles, performing high-quality servicing, and working alongside down-to-earth colleagues, this is the perfect long-term role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing & Maintenance: Carry out full vehicle services, multi-point safety inspections, fluid changes, and preventative maintenance across a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Diagnostics & Fault Finding: Utilize advanced workshop diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve engine, mechanical, and electrical faults efficiently.
- Mechanical Repairs: Perform major and minor vehicle repairs, including timing belts, clutches, suspensions, braking systems, exhausts, and gearbox overhauls.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all repair work meets strict safety standards and manufacturer specifications, delivering complete peace of mind to our customers.
- Workshop Efficiency: Keep your allocated bay clean, tidy, and organized, collaborating with team members to keep daily workshop jobs flowing smoothly.
Requirements
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds / IMI equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Experience: Proven hands-on mechanical experience inside a busy garage or dealership workshop environment.
- Diagnostic Ability: Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis.
- Driving Credentials: A full UK Driving Licence is preferred (for road testing customer vehicles).
- Work Ethic: Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious with a pride in delivering quality workmanship.
