The Men’s Health Clinic – Ferndown, Dorset
Two or four clinical sessions per week (equivalent to one or two full days)
08:00 to 16:30
Initially offered as a fixed-term position to provide paternity leave cover, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of our medical team as the clinic continues to grow.
About Us
The Men’s Health Clinic is an established, CQC-registered private medical clinic dedicated to the diagnosis and management of Testosterone Deficiency and wider hormonal health in men.
Since 2016, we have built a global reputation for delivering thoughtful, evidence-based care, combining clinical science with personalised treatment. Our approach is centred on careful clinical assessment, understanding the underlying physiology and working collaboratively with patients to achieve meaningful, long-term improvements in health and wellbeing.
Our ethos extends well beyond the consultation room. We have built a thriving community of men who are encouraged to take ownership of their health through education, lifestyle change and ongoing support. Through our educational resources, patient community and events, we believe that improving men’s health is about far more than prescribing medication. We are passionate about helping men become healthier, more informed and more engaged in their long-term wellbeing.
As demand for our services continues to grow, we are seeking to appoint doctors to join our medical team for either two or four clinical sessions per week (equivalent to one or two full days).
These positions are initially being offered to provide paternity leave cover, with the opportunity to become permanent appointments as the clinic continues to expand.
The Role
This is an opportunity to practise medicine in an environment where clinical reasoning, evidence-based practice and continuity of care are highly valued.
You will undertake consultations with both new and existing patients, assessing men presenting with Testosterone Deficiency and related hormonal health concerns. The role includes a combination of face-to-face and remote consultations, with care delivered through a model that prioritises clinical quality, patient safety and continuity.
Whilst remote consultations form an important part of the service we provide, we have deliberately retained a strong face-to-face service. We believe that meeting patients in person, particularly at key stages of their care, allows for more comprehensive clinical assessment, stronger therapeutic relationships and a deeper understanding of the individual behind the blood results. It also reflects our wider philosophy that outstanding healthcare is built on trust, continuity and meaningful doctor-patient relationships, rather than convenience alone.
Working within our established clinical framework, you will develop personalised treatment plans, monitor patient progress and contribute to delivering consistently high standards of care.
You will be joining a clinic that places real emphasis on building long-term relationships with patients. Rather than delivering isolated episodes of care, you will have the opportunity to support men throughout their health journey and become part of a team committed to improving men’s health on a wider scale.
Clinical days run from 08:00 to 16:30, with a 30-minute lunch break and dedicated administrative time built into the day to allow for reviewing investigations, clinical documentation and patient follow-up.
Appointments are appropriately timed and fully supported by our dedicated, experienced team, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent patient care.
Previous experience in men’s health or Testosterone Replacement Therapy would be welcomed but is not essential. We provide a comprehensive induction, structured training and ongoing support to ensure you feel confident within the role.
About You
You will:
- Hold full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical assessment and consultation skills.
- Be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Have an interest in men’s health, endocrinology or preventative medicine.
- Enjoy applying evidence-based medicine to individual patient care.
- Value collaborative working within a dedicated and supportive team.
- Share our belief that improving men’s health extends beyond the consultation room. You’ll value the role that education, prevention and a strong sense of community play in empowering men to achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in their health and wellbeing.
Whilst these roles may particularly appeal to General Practitioners with an interest in men’s health, applications are welcomed from any doctor holding full GMC registration with a licence to practise who is enthusiastic about developing expertise within this growing specialty.

Alongside a competitive salary, we offer the opportunity to work in a supportive environment where high-quality medicine, professional development and genuine continuity of care are valued.
