PFS Group Limited is an established Fire & Security Company based in Southend, Essex. We continue to experience rapid growth in all areas of the business and are looking to expand our team of Small Works Estimators. We are looking for a Trainee Estimator to add to our team due to the growth experienced. The role will include full training so no prior knowledge of the industry is required.
The Team
Our team of Small Works Estimators currently consists of two Trainee Estimators one Junior Estimator and one Estimator an Estimations Supervisor. You will be working alongside these members to complete quotations of all shapes and sizes, from small repair works to large system installations. The team is made up of a wide range of ages, interests and working techniques, making us a well rounded group of Estimators. Each of the team have areas of expertise which will be used to provide on the job training.
The Estimation team works closely with our Small Works team which consists of Coordinators, Engineers, Supervisor and a Manager. All quotations completed and successfully won are carried out by our Small Works team meaning Estimators will be expected to complete quotes to a high standard to assist in a smooth transition between departments.
Training
As well as on the job training from our team of Estimators, the successful candidate will also be placed on various industry specific training courses and CPD’s including the Fire Industry Association Courses, ending in a specialised course and full qualification. The successful candidate will also be taken to some of our London based sites to learn how to carry out surveys for remedial works or new installs, gradually building up to solo survey visits. You will learn how to achieve client requirements whilst also complying to industry legislation and standards.
Training outside of industry specific areas will also be provided. You will receive training on our CRM system, internal processes for streamline working and workload management from the Estimation Supervisor. Any and all questions are welcome during and after the training period. There’s a lot to learn in the industry with evolving technology and techniques. Continual training will be provided throughout employment upon request or business needs.
The Role Breakdown
Below is a breakdown of the main duties and tasks that will form this role:
- Taking enquiries from customers via email and phone
- Taking enquiries from our internal engineers via our Quote Request Forms
- Monitoring our department inbox for enquiries or customer queries
- Updating our CRM system
- Arranging site surveys with our customers
- Attending site surveys and documenting all required information
- Maintaining compliance to company procedures and the relevant industry standards
- Assisting the Small Works team will queries on quotations
- Working to deadlines to ensure customers receive quotations within specified timeframes
- Communicating with customers to work to a solution
Successful candidates may be required to travel to London several days a week, all expenses would be paid by the company.
Driving licence preferred.
