Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in a small care home in Broomfield ,Herne Bay Kent The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Follow individualized care plans to meet each client's specific needs
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Support clients in engaging with social activities and maintaining independence where possible
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures
- Use IT systems to update client records and document care activities accurately
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving community visits
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication
- Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
