Role: Bartender/Keyholder
Rate of pay: £12.75 p/h
Hours: 6-16 hours p/w
Located on Hope Street across from Glasgow Central Station, the Park Lane is a Glasgow Institution, celebrating 150 years licensed this year. We are a friendly, cosy pub during the week and then hosting some of Glasgow's best karaoke and live music at the weekends!
We are looking to add a friendly, experienced and personable Bartender/Keyholder to our small team - the Park Lane is known for its friendly staff and warm welcome, with a good band of regulars. We are a small wet-led pub with no food offering, so this role would suit an someone with experience in a similar environment. We are open 11am-11pm Monday to Thursday, 11am-12am Friday and Saturday, 12:30pm-11pm on Sundays, so no super late nights! We can get very busy at the weekends, so we are looking for someone that doesn't mind getting stuck into a busy shift, and can work on their own when it's quieter. Weekday available is desired.
The role is part-time, around 6-16 hours per week with the opportunity to pick up more shifts over the festive period to cover annual leave and maternity leave.
Key Responsibilities
- Serving drinks while following company guidelines and health & safety rules
- Chat with customers in a warm and professional way to make sure they have a great time
- Keep the bar area clean, tidy, and well organised
- Using the till and handling payments correctly
- Keep an eye on stock and top up supplies so everything’s ready when needed
- Help out with opening and closing tasks
- Pitch in during busy times to keep things running smoothly and create a welcoming environment
- Take on keyholder duties - opening/closing, cashing up

Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Previous experience as a Keyholder and cashing up is preferable
- Knowledge of Health & Safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Strong serving skills - we can be very busy at the weekends!
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
- Organisational skills to maintain cleanliness and order within the bar area
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- A professional attitude with good communication skills
- Must be 18 years or older to serve alcohol
