Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 1 -3 years experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control and financial planning for construction of sportsgrounds, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects from initial design through to completion.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, measuring & ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying potential overruns early.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and verify that work aligns with contractual specifications and quality standards.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate costs, procurement strategies, and contractual terms.
- Analyse tenders and assist in the selection of subcontractors and suppliers based on cost efficiency and quality standards.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to each project for audit purposes.
- Provide advice on cost optimisation strategies without compromising safety or quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all phases of the project.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or civil engineering sectors.
- Demonstrable expertise in cost control, budgeting, and financial management of projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and contractual procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software
