The Teaching Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with PMLD (profound multiple learning difficulties) . Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families, you will help create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive. You will support students’ communication, social, and life skills while fostering a calm, positive atmosphere conducive to learning.

Skills & Experience
- Confidence working with non-verbal students and supporting alternative communication methods (AAC, PECS, Makaton desirable).
- Understanding of sensory processing needs and structured teaching approaches.
- Experience with behaviour management and de-escalation techniques (Team Teach training preferred).
- Experience providing personal care support in an educational or care setting.
- Strong communication skills with students, colleagues, and families.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting children with complex needs.
- Be able to work 8.30am - 3.30pm
