C4 Logistics are specialists in European dedicated transport and customs clearance. We are looking for a dedicated, organised Credit Controller with experience in Sage 200 to join the team at our head office in Coventry (CV4)
You will be responsible for the credit control function day-to-day, chasing payments and keeping the customer accounts updated. It's a hands-on role, speaking to customers regularly, staying on top of aged debt, and working closely with our operations and sales team when queries come up.
Please note:
- This is a part time position (20 hours per week). We are open to negotiation of the working pattern as long as hours worked are between 09:00 - 17:00.
- The salary awarded will be prorata (0.5 FTE) actual salary: £13,000/annum
What you will do on a day-to-day:
- Chasing outstanding invoices by phone and email
- Keeping debtor reports accurate and flagging problem accounts early
- Running credit checks on customers and making recommendations
- Sorting billing queries with the sales team so nothing drags on
- Maintaining clean, up-to-date records in our accounting software
What we're looking for
- Experience in Sage 200
- Experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role
- Confident and polite on the phone
- Comfortable with accounting software and accurate with data
- Organised, methodical, and able to manage your own workload without being chased
- An understanding of credit risk and payment terms
- Someone who handles sensitive financial information with discretion
Previous experience in logistics or freight is useful but not essential. What matters more is that you're reliable, thorough, and not afraid to pick up the phone.
