Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our newest setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages children’s curiosity and independence.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing tailored support where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and daily activities in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods ensuring their safety at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily routines and special events within the nursery or childcare setting.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including safeguarding procedures.
- To help maintain a warm and welcoming environment for the children in our care.
- To help create and maintain a orderly and productive working atmosphere.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of the EYFS frameworks
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare).
- Ability to organise activities efficiently whilst maintaining a flexible approach to daily routines.
- A caring attitude with genuine enthusiasm for supporting young children’s growth and learning.
- Commitment to safeguarding standards and promoting inclusive practices. This role provides an enriching environment for those passionate about early childhood education.

- Is able to laugh at jokes they don't understand
- Preferably has a little bit of quirkiness
- If a child requests that they be a captain of a pirate ship, they will be the best captain they can be!
- Doesn't have the ability to sing in tune, but must have the confidence to sing out of tune in front of a crowd.
- Must possess the skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people. This is of the utmost importance.
- Must have the ability to pretend the eat play dough creations realistically along with drinking numerous cups of pretend tea.
