Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a courteous manner
- Operate the cash register, process payments accurately, and handle cash or card transactions
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and promotions to encourage upselling
- Ensure food safety standards are maintained during food preparation and serving
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic cooking or assembly of menu items
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter, dining area, and service stations in accordance with health regulations
- Manage customer enquiries efficiently and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Support team members during busy periods by sharing responsibilities and maintaining a positive attitude
Requirements
- Previous experience in restaurant service or food preparation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends and evenings if necessary
