Assistant Manager - The Clifton Inn, Rugby
Full Time | Competitive Salary (Dependent on Experience)
The Clifton Inn is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. This is not an entry-level management role. We're looking for someone who can confidently support the day-to-day running of a busy community pub and step up to manage the business in the General Manager's absence.
Essential Requirements
- Current Personal Licence holder
- Previous management or supervisory experience in a pub
- Confident cellar management experience, including changing barrels and maintaining draught quality
- Strong knowledge of licensing legislation and Challenge 25
- Excellent customer service and leadership skills
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day pub operations
- Opening and closing the premises
- Leading and motivating the bar team
- Cash handling, banking and cashing up
- Stock control, ordering and stocktakes
- Full cellar management, including line quality, changing barrels and monitoring stock
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and compliance
- Ensuring excellent customer service at all times
- Supporting the General Manager in the smooth running of the business
