Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for meal service
- Support the cooking team by preparing ingredients and ensuring timely and efficient meal delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow food safety protocols, ensuring hygiene standards are consistently upheld
- Assist in setting up serving stations and clearing tables during meal service
- Contribute to catering events by preparing and delivering food efficiently
- Restock supplies and ingredients to maintain kitchen operations without delay
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Serve hot and cold drinks to residents as needed
- Assist with breakfast and lunch service, ensuring meals are delivered to residents promptly
- Handle washing and storing kitchenware appropriately
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or similar food service roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes is advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices within a commercial kitchen setting is preferred
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or general kitchen duties will be considered an asset
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and working as part of a team is essential for success in this role
