The purpose of this role is to provide high‑quality support to SEND learners across the
college by working with an allocated caseload of learners with additional support needs.
The post holder will implement appropriate strategies to promote independence,
confidence, engagement and achievement. The role involves enabling learners with
additional needs to access education effectively, progress within their programmes and
achieve their personal and academic goals. As a member of the Learning Support team,
the post holder will work collaboratively with learners, curriculum staff and wider support
services to remove barriers to learning, promote full participation in college life and ensure
support is delivered through an empowering and enabling approach.
