Procurement Administrator

About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Procurement Administrator to join our growing team within the defence spares industry. This is a newly created role to support an expanding procurement function within a busy and fast-paced sales environment.
Working alongside a small procurement/quotations team and a wider sales team, you will play a key role in sourcing products while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous procurement experience who is organised, proactive, and confident communicating with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Source products and obtain competitive quotations from suppliers
- Communicate directly with existing and potential suppliers (primarily via email and telephone)
- Maintain accurate records using Excel, Outlook, and Kinetic/Epicor systems
- Support the wider sales team with procurement-related activities
- Ensure strict adherence to company processes and compliance requirements
- Assist in resolving supply or delivery issues as they arise
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in a procurement or purchasing role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator, particularly over the telephone and email
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within a fast-paced environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Comfortable working within structured processes and compliance requirements
Desirable but not essential
- Experience using Kinetic/Epicor or similar ERP systems
- Experience working in a technical, engineering, or defence-related environment
