We are hiring for a pharmacy dispenser. This role is to prepare blister packs / dosset boxes. Previous experience working in a community pharmacy and in the preparation of blister packs is preferred.
The pharmacy is situated in Crawley Town Centre, close to public transport.
Hours – Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Pharmacy Dispenser / Pharmacy AssistantDuties and Responsibilities
- Label, dispense, and endorse prescriptions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient supply of medicines to patients.
- Prepare monitored dosage systems, including blister packs and dosette boxes.
- Ensure the safe storage, handling, and supply of medicines in line with pharmacy regulations and best practice.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients and healthcare professionals both in person and over the telephone, answering queries and referring clinical matters to the Responsible Pharmacist where appropriate.
- Maintain pharmacy stock levels by monitoring inventory, ordering medicines and supplies, checking deliveries, and removing expired or out-of-date stock through regular date-checking procedures.
- Receive and hand out prescriptions under the supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist.
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy by undertaking all necessary housekeeping duties and ensuring the dispensary and back-shop areas remain clean, organised, and tidy.
- Assist the pharmacy team with administrative and operational tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
- Previous pharmacy dispensing experience is essential.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and patient safety at all times.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
- Good understanding of pharmacy operations and dispensing procedures.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy computer systems and software for dispensing and record-keeping.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for pharmacy and patient care.
