Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Clamp Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling paper clamps and supporting various warehouse operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in materials handling, equipment maintenance, and warehouse management systems within a dynamic environment. Prior experience in warehouse settings and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, but full training will be provided for suitable applicants.
Duties
- Operate clamps efficiently to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods
- Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory movements and update records
- Conduct basic equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure operational safety and efficiency
- Handle materials carefully, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and manual handling
- Support the organisation of storage areas, ensuring a clean and safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and meet operational deadlines
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse management or logistics is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is advantageous
- Experience in materials handling, load & unload operations, and shipping & receiving processes is beneficial
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus, subject to certification requirements
- Basic maths skills are necessary for inventory counting and documentation accuracy
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking within the warehouse environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

- Clamp truck: 1 year (preferred)
- Counter Balance Forklift: 1 year (preferred)
