The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced, top-tier Loading Shovel Operator to join our team. This role is strictly not for beginners. We need a seasoned professional who can hit the ground running, take control of the machine, and deliver a high standard of work from day one.
What You’ll Do
- Operate full-sized wheeled loading shovels safely and efficiently in high-volume environments.
- Feed site plant, including high-capacity mobile jaw crushers, cone crushers, and reclaimers.
- Load loose materials, aggregates, soil, and demolition waste into commercial haulage trucks and hoppers.
- Manage, stockpile, and blend raw materials across active sites.
- Conduct daily pre-start machine inspections and maintain clean, orderly stockpiles.
What We Need From You
- Valid Tickets: Must hold current, valid CPCS or NPORS cards specifically for a Wheeled Loading Shovel (additional tickets for excavators or crushers are a major advantage).
- Proven Experience: Strong background operating heavy loading shovels within demanding quarrying, recycling, aggregate, or demolition operations.
- Safety-First Mindset: A strict commitment to site safety compliance, quarry regulations, and machine care.
- Reliable Work Ethic: Punctual, driven, and focused on maintaining maximum output with zero fuss.
- Full UK Driving Licence: Essential for using the company van.
