We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, a real team player with strong personable skills & self-motivation to lead a team of fantastic technicians within a busy Peugeot, Citroen, Jaecoo, Omoda and Chery Aftersales Team.
This role would suit someone looking to broaden their knowledge of the Motor Industry and to learn and develop their managerial skills.
The Workshop Controller is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality service, and optimal productivity. This role acts as the key liaison between service advisors, technicians, and management to ensure customer satisfaction and timely vehicle repairs
Responsibilities
- Allocate work to our technicians based on skill level and job priority.
- Monitoring job progress and ensuring timely completion of repairs and services.
- Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer standards and safety regulations.
- Liaise with service advisors to provide accurate job status updates to customers.
- Conduct quality control checks to manufacturer standards.
- Manage workshop productivity and efficiency targets.
- Support technicians with advice and problem-solving.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Ensure the workshop is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians.

The successful candidate will be supported with training and mentoring. The role is full-time, working hours: 43.75 hours per week (7.45am and 5pm, 1 in 3 Saturday mornings 7.45am to 5pm). Flexibility with working hours will be required at times.
Salary £33,000 plus bonus giving a realistic OTE of £38,000
