We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to provide person-centred care and assistance within a home environment. You will support an individual with physical disabilities and acquired brain injury to live as independently and comfortably as possible. Experience in supporting individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries is desirable but not essential, as full training and guidance will be provided.
Main Responsibilities:
· Provide personal care including washing, dressing, and continence support.
· Assist with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, household duties, and mobility support.
· Supervise transfers safely, following correct manual handling techniques.
· Encourage independence and participation in everyday activities wherever possible.
· Offer companionship and emotional support, building positive and trusting relationships.
· Escort to appointments and accompany to social or community activities as required.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date care notes and records in line with policies and procedures.
· Follow all mandatory training and best practice guidance, including manual handling, safe use of medical equipment, and condition-specific training.
About You:
· Experience in a care or support role (preferred but not essential – full training provided).
· Understanding of dignity, confidentiality, and person-centred care.
· Reliable, caring, and patient with good communication skills.
· Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development.
