Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Support Worker to join our care home team in Penrith. This role involves supervising and supporting junior staff, delivering high-quality care to residents, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. Duties
- Oversee and supervise the delivery of personalised care plans for residents, ensuring all needs are met with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management
- Support junior staff members through supervision, mentoring, and training to maintain high standards of care
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive resident support
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and update records in accordance with organisational policies
- Contribute to organising activities and social engagement programmes for residents to promote wellbeing
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times within the care environment
- Assist with driving responsibilities, including transporting residents when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior care or a similar setting, with supervising or leadership responsibilities preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and IT systems utilised in healthcare settings
- Driving licence is desirable for transportation duties within the role
- Experience working in a care home environment is advantageous
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in eldercare and improving residents’ quality of life
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
