Overview
We are seeking a skilled Doner and Dyros Kebab Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine and have experience in preparing and cooking kebabs. Duties
- Prepare and cook Doner and Dyros kebabs according to traditional recipes and restaurant standards
- Handle food preparation tasks, including marinating, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Ensuring excellent customer service standards are met
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during meal preparation
- Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including utensils, work surfaces, and cooking equipment
- Assist with meal plating and presentation to ensure an appealing visual display
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant setting specialising in Middle Eastern cuisine
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, including slicing, marinating, and assembling kebabs
- Ability to operate kitchen appliances safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during peak hours
- Experience in serving customers or assisting in a restaurant environment is advantageous
- A passion for culinary arts with a focus on authentic kebab dishes
