Job Overview
We are seeking Play Room Supervisors and Play Leaders to join our creative family play club. The club is inspired by Montessori and Reggio appoaches, with empahasis on STEAM, Sensory Play and Movement. Team members will have a strong interest in child led, play based learning. This part time/ flexible role could lead to more permanent work in future.
Responsibilities
Play Leader
- Lead and supervise a small team of play workers, ensuring high standards of care and engagement during play sessions.
- Plan, organise and develop play sessions that enhance experiential learning opportunities for children.
- Oversee age-appropriate play activities that promote early childhood development and wellbeing.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical growth through nurturing guidance and positive interaction.
- Provide safe and compliant supervision of children from ages 3+
- Communicate effectively with children, parents and team members.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Scheduling, managing bookings, paperwork, and following procedures.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team.
Playroom Supervisor
- Setup and tidy the play spaces, cocontributing to the smooth running of the club.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical growth through nurturing guidance and positive interaction.
- Assist in developing and delivering supervised play sessions.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents and team members.
- Support with administrative tasks, including bookings, paperwork, and following procedures.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
Experience
Play Leader
- Proven management or leadership experience within early childhood education or childcare settings is essential.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and childcare best practices.
- Experience in planning educational activities tailored to various age groups within early years and primary phases.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Advanced DBS Check will be needed prior to commencing work.
Play Room Supervisor
- Experience working directly with children in nursery or primary environments.

Pay: £12.71-£16.00 per hour
