Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
- Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality meals
- Oversee food safety practices, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with health regulations
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
- Train new team members on food preparation, safety procedures, and customer service standards
- Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and staff development
- Competence in food production techniques and culinary innovation
- Good communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and front-of-house staff
- Experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential; a passion for delivering exceptional customer service is vital
