Squirrels Childcare Ltd have a vacancy for an early years practitioner to come and join one of their busy out of school clubs, based in a primary school in Shaw, Oldham or Springhead, Oldham (Please let us know preference).
Candidates need to be passionate, enthusiastic and committed in caring for children between the ages of 4-11 years.
Duties will include:
Setting up the areas to suit the different ages and stages of the children.
Planning engaging activities for children aged between 4-11 years.
Preparing healthy snacks and making breakfasts as well as clearing these away.
Supervising children in the inside and outside play areas.
Ensuring areas are safe for children to access throughout the sessions.
Providing first-aid to children who need.
Being able to effectively communicate with primary aged children including written English.
Positively managing behaviour.
Developing reciprocal, professional relationship with parents and carers.
Following polices and procedures.

The right candidate will have a level 2 in Early Years / Childcare and ideally have or need to undertake: Paediatric First-Aid, Food safety training, safeguarding and Prevent Duty.
The level 2 hourly rate is £12.50.
Squirrels Childcare Ltd have been open since 1998, with a mission to provide high quality, affordable wrap around care for children of primary age of working parents and families.
The hours of this position will be Monday-Friday (Term Time) 7.30-9am and 3-6pm.
Squirrels have a duty to Safeguard all children in their care so candidates will need to provide a full employment history, will be required to undergo a DBS check, references will be checked from present and previous employers and an identity check will be undertaken through relevant documents. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, so all criminal convictions must be stated.
The applicant must also have the right to work in the UK.
