Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver & Warehouse Colleague to join our team. This role involves operating various types of vehicles upto and including 7.5Tonne, managing warehouse tasks, and ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and warehouse experience to support our logistics operations efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Deliver goods to designated locations accurately and on schedule, maintaining effective communication with dispatch.
- Assist in warehouse organization, inventory management, and stock replenishment activities.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse and vehicle fleet.
- Support in moving materials within the warehouse or between sites as needed.
Skills
- Mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and dispatch personnel.
- Experience in warehouse management or logistics operations is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated upto 7.5tonnne; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is advantageous.
- Ability to move heavy loads safely and efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory control.
