Aspira Education are recruiting a compassionate and resilient SEN Teacher to work within a PRU setting in Kings Lynn who have communication difficulties, SEMH, and associated learning challenges.
This is a highly supportive environment working with pupils who require consistency, structure, and a relational approach to learning. Classes are small, with high staffing ratios and a strong focus on emotional regulation, communication, and life skills alongside adapted curriculum delivery.
Monday to Friday
8.30am – 3.30pm
About the Role
As an SEN Teacher you will:
- Deliver highly adapted lessons to small groups of secondary-aged pupils with ASD and complex communication needs.
- Create a calm, structured, and predictable classroom environment.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, engagement, and independence.
- Differentiate learning to meet a wide range of cognitive and communication abilities.
- Work closely with therapists, support staff, and pastoral teams to support whole-child development.
- Use positive behaviour support and de-escalation approaches consistently.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may present with anxiety, sensory processing difficulties, and SEMH needs.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants who:
- Hold QTS or have SEN teaching experience.
- Have experience working with pupils with ASD, complex needs, or communication difficulties.
- Can confidently adapt lessons and expectations to individual pupil needs.
- Remain calm, patient, and consistent under pressure.
- Are highly relational and able to build trust with vulnerable young people.
- Understand the importance of routine, structure, and therapeutic approaches within specialist education.
Experience within SEN schools, specialist provisions, PRUs, or nurture settings is highly desirable.

- The right to work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two recent references
- A willingness to complete safeguarding training with Aspira
- Ability to start on 3rd Sept
