Job Title: Night Traffic Operator
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum – Depending on experience
Bonuses: £6,600 per year extra for on call bonus
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts Required: Monday to Friday only
Hours: 15:30pm – 01:30am

Transport Planner - Requirements & Responsibilities
- Managing Container vehicle bookings systems (VBS) for port collections and deliveries, ensuring slots are booked and utilised effectively to avoid delays and maximise operational efficiency.
- Planning routine and scheduling drivers and company vehicles to ensure efficient overnight transport operations.
- Proficient IT skills - experience using TOPS is a strong advantage.
- Route planning experience.
- Supervising and supporting drivers during night operations acting as the main point of contact for operational queries and issues.
- Monitoring ongoing vehicle movements and responding to delays, breakdowns and operational changes.
- A good understanding of the local geographical area would be advantageous
- Can multi-task and prioritise duties.
- Providing updraws to management on operational performance and any issues arising during drivers shifts.
