About the Role:
At Afiezie Business and Logistics Services, we support reliable warehouse and distribution operations for clients across a range of industries. We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader who can coordinate daily warehouse activities, guide operational staff, and ensure orders are processed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
You will take responsibility for supervising a team of warehouse operatives, allocating workloads, monitoring productivity, and maintaining high standards across receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch. You will work closely with warehouse management, inventory teams, transport providers, and customer service colleagues to keep daily operations running efficiently.
This position is suitable for an experienced warehouse professional who is ready to take greater responsibility for team performance and operational results.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision:
Lead and support warehouse operatives during daily shifts. Allocate tasks according to operational priorities, staff availability, and order deadlines.
Warehouse Operations:
Coordinate goods receiving, put away, picking, packing, stock movement, and dispatch activities to ensure efficient order fulfilment.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor team productivity, accuracy, attendance, and service levels. Provide guidance and practical support when performance improvements are required.
Inventory Accuracy:
Support stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure warehouse records are updated accurately.
Health and Safety:
Promote safe working practices and ensure employees follow company procedures, manual handling requirements, and warehouse safety standards.
Quality Control:
Check completed orders, investigate damaged or incorrect goods, and ensure products meet quality requirements before dispatch.
Training and Development:
Support the induction and training of new warehouse employees. Provide ongoing coaching to improve safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Operational Reporting:
Maintain shift records and prepare reports covering productivity, stock issues, order progress, staffing, and operational incidents.
Problem Solving:
Respond to delivery delays, stock shortages, equipment issues, and workflow problems. Escalate serious concerns to warehouse management when necessary.
Cross Department Coordination:
Work closely with logistics, inventory, customer service, procurement, and transport teams to resolve issues and meet customer requirements.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
Previous experience in warehousing, distribution, stock control, order fulfilment, or logistics operations.
Leadership Experience:
Experience supervising warehouse employees, coordinating shifts, training colleagues, or supporting team performance is preferred.
Warehouse Systems:
Confidence using warehouse management systems, inventory software, scanners, and standard office applications.
Organisation:
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet operational deadlines.
Communication:
Clear and professional communication skills when working with warehouse employees, managers, drivers, suppliers, and internal departments.
Attention to Detail:
A careful and accurate approach to stock records, order checking, warehouse documentation, and operational reporting.
Problem Solving:
Able to identify operational problems, make practical decisions, and take appropriate action during busy shifts.
Safety Awareness:
A responsible approach to health and safety, manual handling, equipment use, and warehouse procedures.
Teamwork:
A dependable and supportive professional who can motivate employees and maintain a productive working environment.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
