Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children's development through engaging activities and fostering a safe, inclusive environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute positively to children's lives while gaining valuable experience in an out of school care setting. Every day is different but you will never be bored as this is a fast paced environment working with children from age 4-11 years. Encourage positive behaviours, encouraging friendships, preparing healthy snacks...we cant lie, there is some clean up needed at the end of a busy session, so working as part of a team is essential.
If you do not have childcare experience, but would love to begin a career working with children, full training and support can be provided for the right candidates.

We do have a strict uniform policy in place, which makes it easy, every day to just throw on a provided t-shirt and name badge, this adds to our team spirit!
You are not required to work during school holidays or INSET days so could suit a student or a mum looking to get back into work, as long as you love spending time with children we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Organise and supervise play activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children during playtime and organised activities.
- Support children in developing their creativity through arts, crafts, and educational games.
- Foster inclusive play environments that encourage participation from all children.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
- Maintain a clean and organised play area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support behavioural management strategies to promote respectful interactions among children.
Skills
- Experience in childcare, nannying, teaching, youth work or sports coaching or similar roles is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities suitable for various age groups.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to work flexibly within a team environment while demonstrating initiative independently.
- Knowledge of child safeguarding policies and procedures is advantageous.
