Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant – Wrexham
Excell Supply are recruiting enthusiastic and resilient Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Wrexham.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils who may require additional behavioural support, helping them engage positively with learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils requiring additional behavioural guidance.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students.
- Support pupils in developing self-regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to implement behaviour support plans.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Encourage participation, confidence, and personal development.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is desirable.
- Backgrounds in education, youth work, coaching, care, support work, or mentoring are welcomed.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to remain positive and professional in challenging situations.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
