Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Night Time Housekeeping Assistant to join our residential care home team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall tidiness of the facility during night hours, creating a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and corridors during night shifts
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies effectively to ensure hygienic standards are met
- Maintain janitorial standards by regularly sanitizing surfaces, fixtures, and high-touch areas
- Follow established health and safety protocols to prevent contamination and accidents
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards discovered during cleaning to the appropriate team members
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with environmental policies
- Support the overall cleanliness of the facility to uphold a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles, preferably within healthcare or residential settings
- Previous hospital experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with hygiene standards in sensitive environments
- Ability to work independently during night hours with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment
- Excellent communication skills for reporting issues clearly and efficiently
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the care home environment

Pay: £12.82 per hour
