Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Lunch Cover to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that children receive a safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience within our nursery setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess strong communication skills, enabling them to effectively engage with both the children and staff.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist in the serving of meals and encourage healthy eating habits among the children.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment, promoting social interaction and teamwork.
- Communicate effectively with children, addressing their needs and concerns during lunch.
- Support nursery staff in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dining area before, during, and after meals.
- Manage any behavioural issues that may arise, using appropriate strategies to guide children positively.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless lunchtime routine.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is preffered.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and supportive atmosphere for the children.
- A genuine drive to support children's development and well-being during their lunchtime experience.
