In this role, you will be responsible for performing metal repairs, frame straightening, and panel replacements using a variety of tools and techniques. Duties
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform metal repairs, including cutting, grinding, welding, and shaping
- Conduct frame straightening and alignment to manufacturer specifications using specialized equipment
- Remove damaged panels and replace them with new or repaired parts, ensuring proper fit and finish
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts and components safely and effectively
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment throughout the repair process
- Collaborate with team members to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer expectations
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle structures and repair techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, pry bars, wrenches, and screwdrivers
- Experience with power tools including grinders, drills, welders, and pneumatic tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
