Royal Norwich Golf Club is set within 350 acres of stunning heritage parkland, home to an internationally acclaimed golf course and academy, and a busy programme of social events and dining. We're looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to run our day-to-day finance function.
This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys the detail — posting journals, closing the month end, reconciling the balance sheet, and producing accurate management accounts and cash forecasts. You'll work closely with our part-time Finance Director, who leads on strategy and board reporting, while you keep the numbers underneath accurate, complete and on time.
What you'll be doing:
- Posting journals and maintaining the general ledger
- Running the month-end close and preparing management accounts
- Preparing rolling cash flow forecasts
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts each month
- Overseeing the purchase and sales ledgers, and processing payroll
- Preparing VAT returns and supporting the year-end audit
- Supervising our Finance and Admin Assistant
What we're looking for:
- AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
- Solid, recent experience preparing management accounts and posting journals unsupervised
- Confident with balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
- Comfortable in an accounting system and strong in Excel
- Experience with VAT returns; partial exemption VAT knowledge is a bonus
- Hospitality or leisure sector experience is a plus, but not essential
