SCHOOL ATTENDANCE OFFICER
Grade 6 SCP9 – SCP12 – starting salary £22,956.25 rising to £24,088.32 through incremental progression
Permanent, Term Time only
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm (to include 1 day per week finish at 3:30pm) with a 30-minute unpaid break

We are seeking a committed and proactive School Attendance Officer to join our team. This is a vital role within the school, focused on improving student attendance and punctuality, supporting families, and ensuring all students have full access to education.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of attendance by working closely with students, staff, and carers to identify and address barriers to regular school attendance.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children, young people, or families (education or pastoral experience desirable).
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is confident working independently and managing a caseload.
- Can build positive relationships with students, families, and external agencies.
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and attendance legislation (or willingness to learn).
- Is organised, resilient, and solution-focused.
