Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Yard Operative/Driver to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the backbone of our yard operations, ensuring materials are handled efficiently and safely while supporting our logistics and fabrication processes. Duties
- Operate forklifts and other loading equipment to load, unload, and move materials safely around the yard
- Load and unload delivery vehicles with precision, adhering to safety standards
- Manage materials handling tasks, including stacking, organizing, and storing supplies in designated areas
- Maintain a clean, organized yard environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Undertake deliveries of materials as and when required
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklifts and handling warehouse materials
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques in construction or steel fabrication environments
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with yard equipment maintenance is advantageous
- Construction or steel fabrication background is a plus but not essential
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks safely and effectively in all weather conditions
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
