Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Breakfast Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained. Breakfast is our guest's lasting culinary memory before checking out and it is vital it is delivered with the same care and pride as our other food offerings.
We are looking for someone reliable to share the shifts with the current kitchen team during the busy season. The role is a 7.30am prompt start and depending on the day finishes usually by 10.30am or earlier. There is the opportunity of more hours for the right person. The role can be shared between 1 or 2 candidates. A certain degree of flexibility is expected around availability.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout shifts
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or needs to management promptly
- Serve breakfast dishes efficiently
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Skilled in meal preparation with attention to detail and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in serving or assisting front-of-house staff is advantageous but not essential
- A genuine passion for delivering a quality breakfast experience
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
