The Role
As Membership Assistant you will work closely with the Memberships Manager in supporting the Operation in growing memberships and Reception, revenue, and profitability of the business, whilst delivering best class customer service experience to all visitors and clients who enter Sópers House. You will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and expanding customer base, ensuring customers are always provided with a high-level professional service. You will understand and be passionate with the values and vision of Sópers House.
Duties include:
- Welcome and greet all members, visitors, guests, and prospective members with a friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
- Deliver an outstanding reception service by managing telephone calls, emails, visitor sign-ins, bookings, post, and general enquiries.
- Actively promote and sell memberships, confidently converting enquiries into new memberships.
- Conduct tours of the facilities for prospective members, highlighting the benefits of joining Sópers House.
- Proactively contact membership leads by telephone, email, and in person to generate new sales and maximise membership opportunities.
- Build positive relationships with members to encourage retention and deliver an exceptional member experience.
- Assist members and visitors with spa wristbands, towels, and provide clear guidance on facilities and return procedures.
- Assist members with lockers when required (entering both male and female changing rooms during busy periods will be necessary).
- Work on reception during busy periods while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Assist with meeting room, co-working, gym, spa, and daily facility bookings.
- Maintain accurate member records, issue access fobs, and update relevant systems and databases.
- Support events, promotional campaigns, marketing activities, and member communications.
- Carry out regular building checks and assist in managing the building during fire alarm drills and emergency procedures.
- Liaise with all departments to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.
- Assist with parking administration and visitor management.
- Support colleagues across all departments whenever required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by management to support the successful operation of Sópers House.
General:
Sopers House Company Uniform will be provided.
Key Skills
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Membership Assistant, Front of House Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Organised, efficient and have the ability to work under pressure
- Strong project management and sales experience
- Self-motivated and passionate in business development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage and maintain relationships at all levels
- A confident and motivated salesperson with a passion for achieving membership sales and delivering excellent customer service.
- Proven ability to build rapport and communicate confidently with people from all backgrounds.
- Outstanding telephone manner with experience of handling enquiries and confidently making outbound sales calls.
- Comfortable following up leads and converting enquiries into membership sales.
- Friendly, approachable, professional, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask in a busy environment.
- Confident using computer systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to support all areas of the business when required.
Pay: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
