We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and hardworking Warehouse & Sales Assistant to join our busy carpet and flooring business.
This is a varied role that combines warehouse work, showroom sales, and customer service. If you enjoy working as part of a team, have a positive attitude, and don’t mind a physically active job, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Assisting customers in our showroom with flooring enquiries and purchases
- Delivering excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
- Answering telephone calls and processing customer enquiries.
- Measuring and calculating floor plans to determine the correct quantities of carpet and flooring materials.
- Preparing quotations and advising customers on suitable flooring options.
- Receiving, checking, and organising stock.
- Loading and unloading carpets and flooring products (heavy lifting is an essential part of the role).
- Preparing customer orders for collection and delivery.
- Supporting our fitting teams by preparing materials and assisting with daily operations.
- Keeping the warehouse and showroom clean, tidy, and well organised.
- Carrying out general warehouse and store duties as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly and professional with excellent customer service skills.
- Good numeracy skills and confidence calculating floor areas and material requirements (training can be provided).
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Previous warehouse, retail, sales, or flooring experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
