Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pasta Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on pasta dishes. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pasta dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently to minimise waste
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and measuring as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure perfect results for each dish
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service and guest satisfaction
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new pasta recipes or improvements to existing offerings
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques specific to pasta dishes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices in a restaurant setting
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, especially in fast-paced establishments
