- The reception role requires good communication skills, the ability to use various IT systems confidently and the ability to adapt to different situations on a day by day basis.

We are offering 20 hours Monday to Friday. The hours of work will be in 5 hour shifts between 8 am and 6.30pm, with occasional Saturday and late night cover. The flexibility to provide cover for sickness and annual leave is essential. The shift pattern to be confirmed at interview/job offer.
You will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties to support the team and deliver excellent service and care to our patients.
The following are the core responsibilities of the Reception Role :
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing phone calls.
- Helping with queries at the front desk.
- Liaising with internal and external healthcare professionals
- Managing the task box in an effective manner
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Processing documents and prescriptions
- Actioning a range of administrative duties, using various online platforms.
- Complying with mandatory training requirements , including safeguarding, as set out by employment terms
- Taking prompt and timely action when there are any welfare or safeguarding concerns.
- Working within organisational policies, procedures and guidance.
- Demonstrating the practice's values and behaviours in their work
There may be, on occasion a requirement to carry out other tasks; dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing issues.

Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a Healthcare environment
- Previous administrative experience.
- A good Standard of Education -Minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above including English Language & Maths
Desirable criteria
- Medical terminology
- Knowledge of SystmOne
