We are a small independent family farming business near Liskeard. Our goal is to continue to offer the best organic free range eggs in Cornwall and Devon as we grow our own brand.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Poultry Worker to join our production team. Experience within the poultry sector would be a bonus but not essential , although a knowledge of livestock / food production would be helpful. In this role, you will help ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality processing and handling of eggs, while following food safety and bird welfare standards.
You will be working within a team to complete daily tasks which include:-
Poultry welfare checks ensuring the hens enjoy the highest possible health and welfare. General care of the hens to include ensuring adequate enrichment is provided and the hens remain happy. Keeping day to day records and helping to keep the farm Audit ready at all times Collecting and transporting eggs, driving license essential.
Cleaning and routine maintenance to poultry sheds throughout flock cycles.
The role will involve weekend work and a flexible approach within a team rota. A competitive hourly rate and opportunities for progression / training.
