Yard Person – Fareham
Full-time | Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm | Friday 8:00am–2:00pm

Exsel Pumps is a specialist pumping business supporting construction, utilities and infrastructure projects across the UK. We’re continuing to invest in our fleet, facilities and people, and we’re now looking for a Yard Person to join our team in Fareham.
This is an entry-level position, so previous pump industry experience isn’t essential. What matters most to us is finding someone who is reliable, hardworking, organised and willing to learn.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll play an important part in keeping our yard, workshop and equipment maintained to a high standard.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
· Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy and organised
· Painting and maintaining equipment
· Safely handling and moving equipment
· Prioritising tasks based on the needs of the depot
· Supporting the wider team with day-to-day requirements
· Following Health & Safety procedures
· Working outdoors throughout the year
· Using basic IT and app-based systems where required
It’s a varied, physical role, so you’ll need to be comfortable getting stuck in and adapting when priorities change.

You don’t need years of experience. We’re more interested in your attitude and work ethic.
You’ll need to be:
· Self-motivated and hardworking
· Physically fit and able to lift equipment safely
· Organised and able to prioritise
· Reliable with good attention to detail
· A good communicator
· Comfortable using basic technology
· Able to respond positively when demands change
· Happy working outside in all weather
· A team player
You’ll also need a full UK driving licence.
A Counterbalance Forklift Truck Certificate would be an advantage, but training can be provided.
