We are currently seeking a highly qualified Room leader to join our warm and nurturing nursery in Blackheath. Main Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager and Deputy Manager is an important part of your role. You will receive training to carry out all the usual tasks performed by Early Years Practitioners. Creating a safe and stimulating environment for the children is a key focus. You will deliver a play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that helps children make progress individually. It's also important to ensure that the nursery meets all OFSTED requirements. Planning activities that support each child's development towards early learning outcomes is essential. Being a key person means building strong relationships with the children and their parents or carers. You will communicate regularly with parents, sharing information about the nursery and children's progress, and encouraging their involvement. It's vital to follow all Policies & Procedures, comply with the Children Act, Health & Safety legislation, and adhere to Ofsted guidelines.
Person Spec (Required):
· An enhanced DBS check is required by My and Me before any appointment can be confirmed.
· Level 3 in Childcare
· Fluent in Spoken & Written English.
· 2 years working in childcare minimum
Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
