We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures
- Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently
- Answer phone calls promptly and direct enquiries appropriately
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
- Handle correspondence, including emails and postal mail
- Process payments and organise billing documentation
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document organisation
- Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Previous office experience is essential, ideally within a healthcare setting
- Administrative experience demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using office software such as MS Office (Word, Excel) and practice management systems
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive patient information discreetly
- Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards patients and colleagues
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a busy environment
