We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Superintendent Pharmacist to lead our pharmacy operations with enthusiasm and precision. As the legally designated Superintendent Pharmacist, you will be in charge of patient safety, legal compliance, and operational integrity of our online aesthetics platform. You will be ensuring strict adherence to GPhC online pharmacy standards and the regulations specifically governing aesthetic medicine. Your leadership will drive the team towards operational excellence while maintaining the highest levels of safety, accuracy, and service quality. Duties
- Regulatory & Clinical Governance: Act as the named Superintendent Pharmacist with the GPhC, maintaining comprehensive, modern SOPs tailored exclusively to private aesthetic prescriptions.
- Lead and supervise the pharmacy team to ensure efficient and accurate medication dispensing and patient care services
- Oversee medication inventory management, ensuring proper storage, stock levels, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain adherence to all legal, safety, and professional standards governing pharmacy practice
- Conduct regular audits of pharmacy operations, including documentation accuracy and safety protocols
- Provide guidance on complex medication administration procedures, including ICU medications when applicable
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in pharmacy operations and patient safety
- Strict Prescriber Verification: Enforce rigorous due diligence checking process, in compliance with recent GPhC and joint-regulator aesthetic guidelines.
- Hands-on Dispensing & Hub Management: Directly manage daily clinical verification, dispensing, and dispatch workflows within the Weybridge hub, ensuring impeccable accuracy and efficiency.
- GPhC Inspection Readiness: Act as the primary point of contact for external audits, maintaining an unblemished, fully transparent audit trail of all private digital prescriptions and prescriber credentials.
Requirements
- Licensed Pharmacist with current registration with GPhC
- Minimum of 3+ years of post-qualification experience, with preferred exposure to distance-selling pharmacies (DSP), commercial private dispensing hubs, or specialized aesthetic distribution.
- Deep, current knowledge of the GPhC "Guidance for registered pharmacies providing services at a distance" alongside specific joint-regulator bans on remote prescribing for cosmetic purposes.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality patient care with attention to detail and safety
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with other team members
- Tech-savvy with an understanding of digital PMR systems, secure practitioner portals, and automated tracking.
Pay: £65,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
