Transport Planner – Reload Operations
Location: Hadleigh, Suffolk (IP7 6BQ)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Kersey Freight Limited is a long-established British road haulage company operating a fleet of 82 trucks and 260 trailers from our head office in Hadleigh, Suffolk.
We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join our Reload Operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in general haulage who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and securing reloads for our fleet across designated areas of the UK, ensuring vehicles are utilised efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and securing reloads for company vehicles across designated regions.
- Maximising vehicle utilisation and operational efficiency.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with both existing and new customers.
- Liaising with drivers, customers and colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Responding effectively to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working as a Transport Planner within a general haulage operation.
- A sound understanding of UK road transport and geographical knowledge.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach and keen attention to detail.
