Welder / Fabricator – £15–£25 per hour

Alpha Welding & Fabrication Ltd is looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our growing team based in Horsham, West Sussex.
We undertake a wide range of welding and fabrication work for commercial, industrial and private customers, with work carried out both in our workshop and on site.
We are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable and able to work independently. This is not a junior position, so applicants should have solid experience in general fabrication and welding.
The role will involve:
- MIG, TIG and MMA welding
- Fabrication in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
- Working from engineering and fabrication drawings
- Measuring, marking out, cutting, fitting and welding
- Producing quality work to a high standard
- Workshop-based fabrication
- Occasional site-based welding and fabrication work
- Working independently as well as part of a small team
The successful applicant will have:
- Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator
- Strong MIG welding skills, with TIG and MMA experience
- Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
- Excellent ability to read and understand engineering/fabrication drawings – essential
- Good attention to detail and pride in their work
- Ability to work independently and manage their own workload
- A full UK driving licence – essential
- A reliable and professional attitude
Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
- £15–£25 per hour, depending on experience and ability
- Overtime available when required
- Standard holiday entitlement
- Full-time permanent position
We are looking for someone who can come into the workshop and hit the ground running, producing quality work without needing constant supervision.
