Senior Care Assistant
We are looking for a friendly, compassionate and confident Senior Care Assistant to join our team.
We want someone who genuinely enjoys caring for people, can lead by example and wants to be part of a supportive care home where residents and staff are treated as individuals.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the home, supporting our care team while making sure our residents receive the high standard of care they deserve.

Your role
You will:
- Lead and support care staff throughout the shift
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care
- Assist residents with personal care, mobility and everyday activities
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing and respond appropriately to any concerns
- Help implement and review individual care plans
- Liaise with families and healthcare professionals
- Support and guide junior members of the care team
- Maintain accurate electronic care records
- Promote residents’ independence, dignity and choice
- Help create a happy, safe and welcoming home
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and company procedures are followed
What we're looking for
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience working in a care home or similar care setting
- Experience as a Senior Care Assistant or in a supervisory role is desirable
- A kind, patient and compassionate approach
- Confidence leading and supporting other members of staff
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Basic IT skills for electronic care records
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A driving licence would be helpful
